How It All Began
The night of October 5, 2005 around 7:30 was the beginning of something new that God had ordained. Prophet Kortney J. Horton was led to have a prayer meeting at the home of his good friend and brother, Elder Corey C. Henderson. A couple of prayer meetings had been held prior to that night, but this night was different and the Holy Ghost was present like never before. The anointing of God rested on each who were assembled that night. God delivered, set free, renewed and broke some chains. RAW Ministries Int’l started with a few members to name: our founder – Prophet Horton, our co-founder – Elder Henderson, Ms. Shannidia Williams and Ms. Alicia Manning. What they did not know was that God had joined them together for a specific purpose prior to the founding of the ministry.
The ministry suffered a great drought due to dishonest people in leadership. God was expanding the ministry, but the devil sneaked his way in and division took place brought the ministry. But, even then, the devil was defeated though he thought he defeated us. RAW is designed for worshippers who are real when it comes to worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ according to John 4:24. Both Prophet Horton and Elder Henderson had ministries when they came together but joined them together. Horton’s ministry was To Freedom From Bondage and Henderson’s was Divine Worship. After combining the ministries, RAW made more sense to us. The revelation given to them was that the ministry was going to free the lost from bondage so that they could divinely worship God in realness. PRAISE GOD!
This ministry is a bible-teaching ministry and has a mission to follow the path the Lord has set for us. Thank God for divine appointment. Some things took place and Elder Henderson and others resigned, but Prophet Horton didn’t give up. Later, Prophet Horton met Elder David A. Reese of Youngstown, Ohio with Youth Outreach Ministries International where he served as Senior Overseer. He was then appointed as First Assistant Overseer of Real About Worship Ministries International after the resignation of Elder Henderson. The same day of the appointment of Elder Reese, a good friend of Prophet Horton’s, Prophet Anthony L. Lott of Tyler, Texas joined the ministry and was appointed as Second Assistant Overseer of Real About Worship Ministries International. That wasn’t the only person that joined that day. Prophet Calvin McDonald Jr. of North Carolina joined and was appointed to a position. The Lord spoke to our founder and told him, “I said in my Word that I will never leave you nor forsake you and I always have a ram in the bush.” He sent more help knowing that it was needed. Rev. Tyrone Alexander of Colorado and Rev. Jerrico Martin of Oklahoma and they served faithfully until they resigned due to the misleading of a former leader.
The devil tried to destroy the friendship between our founder and co-founder but it didn’t work that way. Now, they are stronger than they’ve ever been. WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER, LET NO MAN PUT ASUNDER!
Who We Are
As a holiness-based organization, we are formed to portray HOLINESS in the way it should. Various organizations have their own definition of what holiness is, but we believe in living holy according to the word of God and not by man-made viewpoints according to Leviticus 20:7 & Hebrews 12:14. In order to effectively live holy, we do believe that “real worship” has to be established being that you can’t worship God and be unholy at the same time. We believe in “Teaching holiness without compromise” and living what we teach and preach.
We are also a network/fellowship of licensed and/or ordained ministers, both male and female, church leaders, various ministries and churches. We exist to give those, who desire to work in ministry, a chance to do so. Our main goal is to bring UNITY to the body of Christ, tear down the walls of denomination and tradition, while saving souls and adding them to the Kingdom of God.
